Book Description:
After the
disaster in Europe, Darlena’s starting to get desperate. She knows the only way
to defeat Hecate and the other crazy Red Gods is by banding together with other
Witches, but is it any wonder she has a hard time trusting them?
With Izzy’s
support, Darlena begins making fragile strides toward repairing the mess she
made, but she just can’t catch a break. As chaos runs rampant around her, Darlena
begins to think that things would be better if she’d never become a Red Witch
in the first place. But there’s no way to change the past…is there?
The final book
in the Red Magic series brings Darlena face to face with impossible odds, and a
terrifying choice.
My Take
on the Book:
Wow. Just wow.
I loved this
book more than I can say. when I first heard about Daughter of Chaos a while
back, I really didn’t have the time to sign up for the review tour but marked
it as a TBR on Goodreads but we all know how that goes, so it kinda just sat
there waiting for me to remember....
When I got
this new email and saw that my calendar for march was basically barren I was
super excited to get the opportunity to not only read this book but its 2
predecessors including Daughters of Chaos. Everything just kind of lined
up, and it was perfect timing.
The book, the
plot, the characters, they were all great on their own but together they made
for an amazing book. The author did a great job creating this world and these
characters that it feels bittersweet knowing that it's over. There were great
highs and some of the most heart wrenching lows. It was a myriad of emotions
and I feel like that somehow made everything all the more endearing. And while
I know all things must end and not all things are perfectly wrapped in a bow this
story doesn’t feel like it was properly put to bed.

I can’t say
I've read anything like this before but I can say that it was a completely
enjoyable experience. I can only hope that this isn’t the complete end for
these characters, that there might be more to Darlena, Izzy and Justin's story.
There real are so many unanswered questions and the ending really was open
ended, and while I kinda sorta maybe liked that aspect it also left me with a
hollow feeling akin to that feeling you get when you watch a movie with an anticlimactic
ending.
I highly
recommend this series leaving you with this warning: This book, its plot and
its characters are highly addictive so be sure to find the time to pull
yourself away to grab a meal or 2!
